Treatments:
Many clinical trials are evaluating medications for the treatment of COVID.
Currently, there are no commercially available FDA-approved treatments for COVID in the outpatient setting.
Hospitalized patients may be treated with medications that have received FDA Emergency Use Authorization for COVID (e.g. Remdesivir), conventional medications which may help reduce severity of illness (e.g. steroids), or other medications as part of ongoing clinical trials.

Treatment guidelines for COVID19 (published and regularly updated by the NIH) – multiple potential treatments are being evaluated across the world. The NIH has developed guidelines to inform clinicians on how to care for patients with COVID-19. Because clinical information about the optimal management of COVID-19 is evolving quickly, these Guidelines will be updated frequently as published data and other authoritative information becomes available.
